I just wanted to take a moment to thank those responsible for making the homecoming parades at Red Boiling Springs and Lafayette a success. Having a safe, successful parade is no easy undertaking and the Macon County School System would like to thank the Macon County Sheriff's Office, the Lafayette Police Department, the Red Boiling Springs Police Department, the employees of the City of Red Boiling Springs, and the employees of the City of Lafayette. In addition, thank you to the school system employees as well as all of those who lined the streets to watch. Pulling off a parade is very stressful and takes a great deal of work, but seeing the faces of the spectators, especially the young children, makes it a very enjoyable experience for all. -Shawn Carter, Director of Schools
