Fairlane Elementary School was on "soft lockdown" for a very short period of time yesterday, December 15, right before noon. This was due to a medical situation that required a response by the Macon County Ambulance Service. The area was confined to a specific part of the school. But, to allow the paramedics access, the soft lockdown was instituted. The school was back on regular schedule very soon after lunch.

Exam Dates: - December 3 English 1 and English 2 - December 9 Biology and State Dual Credit Psychology - December 10 English 1, English 2, and State Dual Credit History - December 11 Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, and State Dual Credit Precalculus and Statistics. Due to icy conditions on many side roads and below freezing temperatures until mid-morning tomorrow, Macon County Schools will be closed on Friday, Dec 5th.

As of now, Macon County Schools will be on time on Friday, December 5th. However, this could change if the predicted weather moves into our area. Hopefully, a decision can be made tonight, but in case it cannot be made until morning, please make arrangements for your children in the event we are 1 hour late, 2 hours late, or closed. Again, we apologize for the time frame, but thank you for understanding.
