The Macon County Board of Education will meet in Special Session Monday, July, 18 2022 @ 6:00 pm at the Macon County School Board office. The item on the agenda is to deliberate as whether or not to reopen the process for choosing a new Director of Macon County Schools.
Elementary Cross Country practices will begin Tuesday, July 18th @ 7:00 pm at the Cross Country course next to Macon High School. This is for incoming 4th/5th graders only (including Westside students) There will be a short parent/guardian meeting, please arrive on time and bring any completed sports physicals. Auditions for The Addams Family Musical are Monday, July 25 for grades K-12. Students will need to have a few measures of a song to sing for auditions. They will take place at 3:00 in the MCHS Auditorium.
Students that receive a call back will be asked to return on Thursday, July 28 at 3:00.

Coach Pete Groesbeck is having an introductory practice/parent meeting for jr. high (incoming 6th, 7th, & 8th grade) cross country runners next Tuesday, June 21st at 6 pm at the MCHS cross country course. Regular practices will not begin until July 18, but he wants to meet with everyone that can before the dead period begins. If anyone has sports physicals already completed, he’ll take them that night, and no worries if not-just make sure to have them completed by July 18. Thanks!!

Open enrollment period for Out of Zone requests is now open and will close June 29th, 2022. An Out of Zone Request form can be picked up at the Macon County Board of Education office and must be filled out and returned by June 29th, 2022.

Students entering 7th Grade are required to provide proof they have had a booster dose of tetanus-diphtheria-pertussis vaccine (known as Tdap). If your child has not received this booster dose, schedule an appointment now so they are ready to start school on time. If they have already received it, please turn in an updated copy of their immunization record to your child’s school prior to August 3rd.
