MCHS SENIORS-There will be a FAFSA Workshop for seniors and parents on Thursday, January 25 from 11:00 am-4:00 pm in the MCHS Library. Parents need to bring W2's and tax return for 2022. No appointments are needed.
POSTPONED: The Mandatory TN Promise Meeting for MCHS seniors that was scheduled for Wednesday, January 24 has been POSTPONED due to school closure. They are working to reschedule this meeting and a new date will be shared as soon as possible.
Due to hazardous road conditions in several parts of the county, mainly back roads, Macon County Schools will remained closed tomorrow, January 24th.
Little Miss, Petite Miss, & Junior Miss Macon County Beauty Pageants-
Pageant forms are due to MCHS a week from today (Jan 30th)! If you are going to mail them in, please do that soon. Also don’t forget we have a Miss Photogenic award for only $5 extra. We have to have the photos by the Friday before the pageants start.

Our schools were invited to participate in the Governor’s Early Literacy Foundation’s K-3 Home Library program this summer. Through this program, all rising 1st-3rd grade (current Kindergarten- 2nd grade) students in our school district are being given the opportunity to receive six high-quality books and activity pages, delivered to their homes this summer at no cost to families. For more information, see the attached flyer.
By completing the process below, you are opting your child OUT of participating in the K-3 Home Library program in Summer 2023. This means your child will NOT receive six high-quality books and activity pages, delivered to your home this summer.
If you DO want your child to receive these materials, you do not need to do anything further.
If you choose NOT to participate, email Crystal Hesson, hessonc@maconcountyschools.org, with your name, your child(ren)’s name(s), and your child(ren)’s school(s). Taking this step will ensure your child will NOT receive the books. In order to opt out, you must email by 4:00 pm on Monday, February 12, 2024. After that time, we will not be able to remove your child from the recipient list.
