Updated MCHS Volleyball Tryout Information
R.B.S. Jr. High girls basketball tryouts will be on May 5th from 3-5pm. A physical is required.
MCHS Band Fish Fry
Macon County High School basketball tryouts are May 15th 3-5 pm. Must have a physical.
Pre-K and Kindergarten Registration for the 2025-2026 School Year is Friday, April 25th - Please see the attached for information.
If you are unable to register on April 25th, you will need to stop by the school your child is zoned for and pick up paperwork to complete for registration and drop it back off at the school as soon as you can.

There will be a collaborative conferencing meeting between the Macon County Education Association and the Macon County School System on Wednesday, April 16th at 3:30 in the Macon County School System board room. The meeting is open and all are invited to attend.
Macon County High School senior Aliyah Copp is bringing a powerful vision to life with TNStrong Fest, a community-wide event designed to raise awareness about the dangers of tobacco use, support mental health, and showcase youth leadership.
Aliyah, a proud ambassador of TNSTRONG (Tennessee Stop Tobacco and Revolutionize Our New Generation) and a dedicated member of FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America), created this initiative as her senior FCCLA project. TNSTRONG is a youth-led, statewide movement working to protect Tennessee’s next generation from the harmful influence of the tobacco industry while promoting healthy choices and mental well-being.
With only 30 TNSTRONG ambassadors across the state, four of them call Macon County home—including Aliyah herself. Her commitment and leadership were recently recognized at the state level, where her project earned 2nd place, advancing her to FCCLA Nationals this summer.
TNStrong Fest will take place on May 31, 2025, intentionally aligned with World No Tobacco Day, a global initiative that raises awareness of the health risks associated with tobacco use and advocates for effective policies to reduce tobacco consumption.
Proceeds from vendor space and food sales will go toward supporting FCCLA Nationals as well as upcoming community outreach programs, including efforts to assist McKinney-Vento families—students and children experiencing homelessness who are protected and supported under federal law. TNStrong Fest is free and open to the public. Community members, families, and supporters are encouraged to attend and stand with the next generation of leaders working toward a healthier Tennessee. Come Support TNSTRONG Fest, everyone is welcome!
