Welcome to the Macon County School's Department of Pupil Transportation's web site! Our office is located at the Macon County Board of Education in Lafayette, Tennessee.
Every school day, Macon County Schools Department of Pupil Transportation takes 3,700+ students to school in the morning and brings them home in the afternoon.

Number of morning bus routes: 45

Number of afternoon bus routes: 45

Number of different bus runs daily: 110

Total number of full-time employees: 51

Total number of part-time employees: 14

Number of school buses in Tennessee: 8000+

Research by the National Safety Council has shown school buses to be the
safest form of transportation available -- safer than traveling
in airplanes, automobiles or passenger trains.
