The purpose of this session is to show teachers how to use technology to create teaching materials, bulletin boards, etc. for the classroom. Teachers will have an opportunity to make materials FOR THE CLASSROOM during the session.  Please do not make personal items.  If you need specialty papers, you will need to bring that yourself.

Two researched based Internet websites that are available for Macon County teachers and students at school and at home.  Both academic Internet sites correlate to the Tennessee State Curriculum Framework.  Teachers are encouraged to attend this in-service and learn more about the unique and fun features of BrainPOP! and netTrekker d.i.!!

This session addresses the use of the Internet in the classroom.  According to Board policy, teachers who use the Internet in the classroom must attend two ˝ day local training sessions.  Teachers will be asked to sign an acceptable use policy which will be kept on file at the Office of the Director of Schools.  Some basic computer knowledge is required. 
 
BOTH sessions (Internet I & Internet II) are required.  When registering, please sign up for both.

Calling all teachers!  Learn how to create incredible teaching materials the easy way—ON YOUR COMPUTER!  We will create a variety of teaching and learning materials including bingo cards, flash cards, graphic organizers, puzzles, permission slips, handwriting and math sheets.  Bring your vocabulary list, spelling words, etc. with you so that you can make materials that you will use in your classroom.
